Coast Arts Festival - Sam Braysher, saxophone & Will Arnold-Forster, guitar

Friday 18 October 2019 - 7.30pm

An evening of intimate, swinging jazz from two young London-based musicians with Norfolk connections. Saxophonist Sam Braysher grew up in Dereham, Norfolk, before moving to London to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He now leads a busy and varied freelance career, and received international critical acclaim for his debut album, Golden Earrings, which The Observer called ‘surprising and delightful’. Will Arnold-Forster is one of the most in-demand jazz guitarists in London. He also attended the Guildhall School and, like Sam, was a GSMD Chartered Surveyors’ Prize winner. They are both regular performers at London’s foremost jazz venues, including Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Jazz Club, the 606 Club, The Vortex and Kansas Smitty’s. They will perform a selection of jazz standards by composers including George Gershwin, Kurt Weill, Jerome Kern and Richard Rodgers.  This will be a popular night so get here early to get a table seat. The bar opens at 6.30pm. Advance tickets £10 (£12 on the door)
